Welcome to Ten O Nine Records, a Chicago-based independent record label founded by Jon Hiller and Dan Saichek.
Jon Hiller is a drummer who started playing in Chicago music venues at age 16 with his first band Blues By Five. He joined the Bob Riedy Blues band in 1975 backing Sam Lay, Carey Bell, Eddy Clearwater, Otis Rush, Johnny Littlejohn, Chuck Berry and other local Chicago blues artists. That led to stints with different bands and musical styles from rock to rockabilly to country. Dan Saichek is a guitarist and music business veteran, co-founder and creative force behind "Misfits", a leading '80's progressive Chicago music venue presenting such seminal artists as Alex Chilton, the dB’s, Chris Spedding, the debut of Ministry, the Blasters, X, Wayne Kramer, James Chance, The Bongos, The Effigies, Naked Raygun, Snakefinger, The Misfits, Syl Sylvain, Fear, Brian Brain, and Tuxedo Moon. Dan was also a talent agent and concert promoter booking venues in the Northwest. He was a member of many local Chicago bands including five years with "The Bleeding Hearts".
We sign new and established artists, and release archival reissues and anthologies for music of all types. We accept unsolicited material, but please do not expect a return of promotional materials, or expect a response unless we are interested in pursuing a project with you.
